Artist Statement:
Marcel Verhaag is a well known
decorative painter and
interior decorator. His work
is seen world wide. He takes
on commisions for businesses
as well as private houses.
His realistic trompe-l'oeil
paintings are carried out in
wonderful natural colors which
gives it the "very real" look.
Playing with light and shadow
Verhaag brings an amazing
depth into his works in a
beautiful way.
For murals he works often on
location but the design can
also be ordered on canvas and
shipped.
Besided many private houses he
has done commissions for:
Holland America Line,
cruise ship Queen Mary II
State Capitol Columbus, Ohio
