Artist Statement:
Regarding my pet portraits, all works are oil on canvas. In general, the works are based on photographs that either I have taken or that have been sent to me by the owner of the pet. The process is fairly simple: I receive photos, find an image I can work with and okay the image with the owner. It is important to work through this stage together. Once the image is agreed upon, we pick out a size for the canvas. When the painting is finished I will email a photo of it off to the consignor. Costs are based on size and number of animals within the portrait.
When I am not doing portraits, I like to paint plein-air landscapes. We spend a lot of time in the country here in Texas and also summers in Colorado. ...
