| Your Personal Biography |
Marie Weaver is a printmaker and mixed media artist. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, she graduated from the University of Vermont and from Syracuse University. She was a professor of graphic and 2-D design at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, and she has taught at the Creative Circus in Atlanta. More recently, she has taught several woodblock printmaking workshops with Sabra Field at Castello di Spannocchia in Tuscany. Weaver’s work has been reviewed in Art Papers magazine and recent woodcuts were included in the 2006 Southern Printmaking Biennale.
