Artist Statement:
Although I am interested in many things, I am greatly inspired by science, nature, books, music, skyscrapers, artists and people. With that said, the creative process for my work usually begins with one of the following situations: a visual image persisting over time, an idea compelling me to act by researching the idea, a dream, a significant event or defining "ah-ha" moment. All of these situations compel me to give them physical form and color. Painting, for me, is a love affair with color, alchemy, texture and fluidity, it’s boldness and subtleties, it’s ability to place one in a contemplative, sad or excited mood, and it’s infinite uses.
With a former professional background in critical care nursing, scientific and medical knowledge combined with extensive clinical experiences serve as a rich pool of imagery, creativity, and thought for my work. My academic studies include an RN from Muhlenberg School of Nursing, and an MPA from Rutgers University.

| Your Personal Biography |
I am a painter and my work integrates art with science, nature and medicine.
Although I am curious about many things, I am fascinated and inspired by science, nature, medicine, books, music, skyscrapers and people. With that said, the creative process for my work usually begins with one of the following situations: a visual image persisting over time, an idea compelling me to act by researching the concept, a dream, a significant event or defining ‘ah-ha’ moment. All of these states urge me to give them physical shape and color. Painting, for me, is a love affair with color, alchemy, texture and fluidity, it’s boldness and subtleties, it’s ability to place one in a contemplative, sad or excited mood, and it’s infinite uses.
With a professional background in critical care nursing, scientific knowledge combined with extensive clinical experiences serve as a rich pool of imagery, creativity, and thought for my work. My academic studies include an RN from Muhlenberg School of Nursing, and an MPA from Rutgers University.
I am a member of The Society for the Arts in Healthcare, and an active Board Member of Women’s Caucus for Art of Georgia.
I am interested in everything, even things of which I am yet unaware.
