| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
As a guitarist of more than 35 years, similar to music, my art is inspired from the work and art of other artists. From reading and looking at art books, from viewing art in galleries. It motivates and drives and creates enthusiasm. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
Sometimes I think I am crazy, or almost in a dimension away from others. I will sit outside with my wife in the morning drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. I look at the brick pavers while she talks about her upcoming daily events....and I stare at the brick pavers wondering "What colors do I mix together to get that shade". Something inspires me, and typical to my guitar playing and musicianship, I am just not quite sure why I do anything anymore.
I do know that Phororealism far surpasses any other form of art as far as technical and precision is concerned and I am a precisionist/perfectionist type of guy.
The Hopi indian kachina carvings still amaze me as far as perfection, talent and patience goes. I will never get over these pieces of art. I have carved many myself. Although I am not a Hopi indian, I wanted to experience from start to finish, what would be invloved with that form of art. They "Amaze" me the talent they possess. It is almost frightening. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I grew up painting. After high school I worked 12 years as a copper miner underground operating heavy equipment a half mile below the earths surface risking my life everyday for a bucket of "Muck". I painted through these years, mostly of the images from underground where I worked. I took several art and painting classes at local colleges. I also took several semesters at a local graphic arts design college. I briefly returned to a tech college to learn computer aided drafting.
After a year I received an associates degree in design and computer aided drafting with highest honors. I have worked in that field for the last 20 years. I currently own a CADD drafting service and work from my home studio. That work is just about non-existant now as the recession pretty much has wiped out all construction and computer design work.
I have always painted through the years. Sparadically, sometimes more..sometimes less. SImilar to my itch for music and guitar.
I am mostly self taught painter and have generally painted the things around me. I have never really tried that hard to promote my art as I find gallery owners and curators, and all the other arrogant art-selling/dealing people idiots that I choose not to associate myself with. I did not intend to sit down and paint for endless hours to make a profit for some greedy arrogant gallery owner that knows nothing about art but how to hang a square on a wall.
