Artist Statement:
My painting is like telling a
story
a story that comes from an
observation,
is like to unveil a part of
reality
so it will become news...
The stories I show talk of
light;
for that I use reflections,
transparencies,
or other things that happen,
beyond the mere description of
the facts...
Like this, I tell, how the
light colored the bay
on that winter evening, before
the storm;
or I take the same scene, at a
different time of the day;
I also tell about the colors
going over the sea
and, for a moment, they become
part of it,
thus Valparaiso bay will never
have the same color...
All these, are for me,
profound things of great
simplicity.
Then, the metaphores will be
yours.
After so much, I am still
convinced
that the painter thinks with
the eye,
in a modern way, always
modern, obviously....
