Your Personal Biography

My passion for photography began during the mid 1980's when I purchased my first SLR camera the Minolta 7000 and soon followed by the 9000. The work of Ansel Adams was the largest influence in my photographic venture with Black and white photography quickly becoming my main pastime. A darkroom was constructed where I would spend many hours practicing the art. I studied and learnt the zone system which I still apply to this day.

Photography has made me view the world in a different way and beauty can be found in almost any subject. Capturing this beauty is not always easy and many visits to a location are sometimes needed to capture the magic moment.

The Mamiya RB67 and 5x4 view camera's are my favourite, which are used for most of my work.
I like the slow methodical approach of medium / large format photography and being alone in the landscape with my camera is magical.

I live near Clapham Common in South London and have lived in London all my life.
