Artist Statement:
I consider myself somewhere between an illustrator and a contemporary abstract artist. My art is exploration There are some massages or hidden agendas, and sometimes i just want to reveal the discoveries made during my investigation. My works arise from the transfer of the inner occurrences to the outside.
I am creating my style using certain techniques in my work: alterations that produce unique results. I generally seek out the medium that best suits the work and if I have the liberty, a medium that compliments my mood at the time.
I have rather unconventional approach to painting in which I work in acrylics for its versatility and quick drying purposes, but also incorporate other media into my work. I work layers of thick and thin color. Traces are left by straight lines curved or surfaces and wiped, dripped and spattered. The texture aspect of a painting is important to me because it adds depth and captures almost a physical element to it. This process of scraping and reapplying the paints develops layers of color and textures, which gives me the satisfaction of working” into” a painting.
