Artist Statement:
I am a painter and sculptor of contemporary and conceptual work, using mixed recycled materials employed with paint to engage viewers with personal and natural themes that address relationships with our environment and each other.
Through the improvisation of materials and intuition the physical act of my work is labor intensive with a mental awareness that draws from memories, dreams and a layering of subconscious.
This open approach affords a natural development in the realization of my work and the symbolic references using dynamic shapes, tones and composition.
