Artist Statement:
Despondence is a mixture of the skills that I have developed over the years and fueled by the process of experiencing the pursuit of these skills. travel Photography, People photography, Painting, Drawing and Makeup FX. Since it is fueled by the pursuits of a quixotic mind it conveys the feelings of let down of a naive difference from everyone else. People in this country that don't exude a need to be different or to rise above everyone else in my eyes at a second glance are special and what someone such as a diner cook, a deformed child and a priest might experience on a daily basis mixed with an old hollywood idealism is my way of expressing my own conflicted feelings.
Each piece has A LOT! of work in it. I start by a drawing of an old film star in most cases and put them into a more average environment and create a character of them based on a person in the americana world that's struggle interests me after some research. I photograph people's faces at the right angle that I feel match the proportions of the character I am creating, then I spent a ...

MISHAFOTO: The Art of Misha Huntting. Kaitlyn Carl
If you happen to live anywhere along the West Coast, chances are you’ve already heard of Misha Huntting Photography – and if not? Make note. Hers is soon to be a household name in the artistic communities from coast to coast.
Home is Where the Heart Is
As a child of a old fashioned New Yorker and a new school, Californian hippie, Misha has absorbed influences from all across the country – from the likes of the multicultural neighborhoods of New York, to the southern subtleties of Tennesee and the vast, empty spaces of Colorado (to name a few). Much of her own personality can be seen in her work, drawing influences from her experiences with subculture, death, individuality and the beauty that comes from the most unexpected sources. While Misha refrains from calling any one particular place “home,” she has been spotted creating a stir in both Hollywood and Seattle over the past six years and during such time, her business as a free-lance photographer has sky-rocketed in popularity.
“I See You As You Want To Be Seen.”
With a large fine art background which includes painting, drawing and photography, Misha has a specialized ability to tune into the visions of her clients and produce results which go above and beyond expectation. A “Mishafoto” is easily recognizable by the high quality aesthetic force and the deeply impacting emotional appeal – in short, her photographs are powerful and they produce results! Her photography has been published in Rolling Stone, AP, Revolver, Metal Edge, and Hardcore Tattoo, amongst others. Her client list includes bands (Aiden, On the Last Day, Himsa, The War), clothing labels (All Hallows, Black Rag), and adult modeling agencies (Razordolls) – hell, she’s even worked for the papparazzi! Suffice to say, she is always open to new projects and her abilities as a photographer are widely encompassing.
More Than a Camera
Aside from her success as a photographer, Misha has been described as an artistic muse and a true pleasure to collaborate with. Her enthusiasm for art and her wide experience with different types of people allow her to form strong relationships with her subjects – further adding to the success of her business. Her passion for creating art and her unwaivering attention to detail has placed her in the ranks of the most highly sought-after photographers to date
