| Your Personal Biography |
Mitzi Lai, a long time teacher and popular workshop instructor, her paintings have won many awards and are collected by many individuals as well as organizations. Her passion to art leads her to many different mediums, from Chinese painting, oil, watercolor to digital fine arts. Mitzi has a Master of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State Univ. Texas.
Her one-woman shows include Cleveland Botanic Garden; Jewish Community Ct., Cleveland, Ohio; Beck Culture Center, Lakewood, Ohio; Mather Gallery of Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio; Chinese Arts Gallery in Houston, Texas. Invitational Exhibition include New England Fine Arts Institute’s National Exhibition in Boston; City Hall of Alhambra, Calif. and among many other regional exhibitions. Invitational exhibitions recently including Salon International 2010, The Schumacher Gallery 2009, High Road Gallery 2009, Color Me Cleveland 2009, National Small Oil Painting 2008 and Best of Photography Annual by Photographer’s Forum Magazine 2008. 2012 one of her painting will be included in "Strokes of Genius 4" by North Light Books.
Mitzi is an Artist-in-Residence for the Ohio Arts Council’s Arts Learning and member of Oil Painters of America, American Woman Painter, Ohio Plein Air Society. She teaches at Cleveland Museum of Art as well as workshops at her studio. Besides painting, giving workshop, lecturing, she is also a professional designer for dinner wares, fabric and other home furnishing products as well as greeting cards, paper products ....etc. |
