Artist Statement:
My art has its roots in the imagination. It is the crucible where systems of humanity (urban, social, political, religious etc.) are synthesised with nature (earth, matter, energy, emotions) to form dreams/ visions. This is the artist's journey of transformation. My imaginative art deals with experiences from these systems which inspire me towards the expression of a unique image. These images offer alternative contemporary responses to patterns/cycles reflected in myth, religious texts such as the Psalms, geometry and symbolic forms. All systems must be open to change or else that system will stagnate and perish. The relationship between the systems and their inevitable return to the void is at the basis of my art. ...
