| Your Personal Biography |
Born and raised in Duluth, MN, the landscape around Lake Superior gave me a beautiful palette of water, sky and forest to forever inspire my work. I have lived in a number of places in the US over the years but the scenes from the Great Lakes region continue to be the main focus of my creativity. I have a B.A. from The University of Minnesota, Duluth with some graduate studies in the arts from the Split Rock Arts Program in Minnesota. I also studied for years with the Somerset Art Association in Bedminster, NJ, while living on the East Coast.
I spent my early career in the graphic arts/corporate publishing field before turning to studio art. I have used many mediums over the years to create, currently concentrating on oils. Working out of my home studio in Carmel, Indiana, I overlook a five acre pond that gives me large sky vistas with a plethora of wild waterfowl. At every opportunity, I spend time with family and friends at my cabin on beautiful Eagle Lake on the Pike Chain in Iron River, WI.
