Canada, with an MFA in Drawing
and Intermedia from the
University of Alberta,
Edmonton. Her work is
influenced by unconventional
structures of knowledge that
mediate the physical and
metaphysical realms such as
eastern philosophies,
mythology and folktales.

| Your Personal Biography |
Maria Madacky was born in former Yugoslavia where she earned a Bachelor of Art and Education degree in Slovak Language and Literature at the University of Novi Sad. After moving to Canada in 1996, she completed with great distinction the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the University of Lethbridge, and in 2008 the Master of Fine Arts in Drawing / Intermedia at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. |
