Artist Statement:
MY STYLE: EXPRESSIONISM IN MODERN COLOURS.
BACKGROUND.
In the beginning, when I entered in the Art field, I was very confused about colours, what should I do when applying the colours on the canvas? And why? Neither had I a reason for that, nor did anybody satisfy me regarding colour application. The things which were disconcerting me were colour combinations, contrast of colours, colour harmony, rhythm produced by colours, meanings of the colours in different aspects, etc.
To resolve this disconcertion, I started looking at books such as "The Complete Book of Colour", "Colour Harmony for Better Living", "Serene Interiors", etc. and studied them thoroughly. Then I made comprehensive and concise points out of them and compiled them, in printed-booklet form, with the title "Immense Dwelling of Colours".
Now I’m always using this book whenever I paint. With the help of this booklet of 20 pages, some of my problems are reduced and skills are raised to the primary level of the colour understanding. Because it’s only fulfilling the basic requirements which is also a necessity.
