| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Claude Monet and Michael Jordan inspires me for what one can do. Love and friendship were key factors in their great lives. Doing that which you believe and love makes for great inspiration. So when I won the awards it was good works but I believe it was more about the two hard years before. That made that possible. So the biggest artistic inspiration is the work you put into something that no one will ever see. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
For me there was no choice like I want to be a artist. As a child I wanted to be a fireman. Art was something I enjoyed doing, like a love affair one has for enjoyment. Drawing or reading about art was something I always did, to study nature or watch clouds move by while trees flow in the breeze was like breathing and eating. It wasn't until many years later that I learned its a business, the love affair was over. I now use knowledge and understanding with my art. So that helped me regain that old love affair back and has made me become an Artist. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Brief Biography:
Avant-garde artist,Charles H. Phillips works in the
the traditional art form (oil paint on canvas). The
digital age has now given artist more opportunity to
express their talents in ways Cezanne and the
impressionist would have loved. The traditional arts is rooted in his appreciation for nature, while searching the New York landscape and night life for
ideas and inspiration. By day he works as a photo technician and paints by night. The initial process
of inspiration began many years ago while serving in the U.S. military. And there after attended Art Students League in the New York City. There he studied with Xavier Gonzales, Norman Lewis, and Robert Hale. While attending art school he won major awards and honorable mentions. Romare Bearden was one of the judges for a scholarship award that Mr. Phillips won, so he asked Mr. Bearden "How does one become a great artist" the older artist relied, "Keep painting for longevity holds the key".
