Welcome to Holly Picano's Portfolio.
From a very young age, Holly Picano began to express herself through art by sketching pictures of her family, friends and pets. This desire to create pushed her to attend The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she earned a degree in Advertising Design. Her advertising background was a springboard for her colorful, slick, stylized portraits of women. Preferring acrylic paint, Picano creates flat color fields that have an electric “POP” as one color is placed next to another. This electricity also has a very sensual side, with the erotic poses and subtle suggestive looks. The emotion Picano puts into her work is fueled by her love for music and pop culture.
Holly Picano is a member of several art organizations; Orlando Museum of Art, where her work has been exhibited; Orlando Visual Arts League; and National Women in the Arts. She has been a featured artist at Walt Disney World, on Latin MTV, and has shown her works internationally. ... |
