Artist Statement:
My experience in watercolor includes working with the medium for over twenty years. I continue to have a passion for the transparent approach and love learning about pigments and their individual personalities. I strive for brilliant, rich color in my works and incorporate transparent and granulating effects. My subjects include a variety of categories depending on what inspires me at the moment.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in art education and a Master of Arts Degree in art with an emphasis in painting. I am currently teaching art on the high school level in a public school but, I also teach several workshops, and adult classes on watercolor. My favorite workshop to teach is held in Taos, New Mexico each June. Watercolor enthusiasts from across the US converge on the Sagebrush Inn for a week of intensive watercolor painting and comraderie. ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Nancy grew up in southern Oklahoma and established her home in Colorado Springs in 1971 where she lives today. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma and earned a Master of Arts Degree from Adams State College in Colorado. Her artistic expertise comes from being an educator and professional artist for the past thirty years.
Watercolor painting is her passion and is revealed through her brilliant use of color. She refers to herself as a colorist. “I enjoy experimenting with various pigments and learning about their unique personalities,” says Baldrica.
Baldrica’s paintings have been shown in numerous national and international watercolor exhibitions including some of the top venues such as the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition, Watercolor West in California, Catherin Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in New York, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Exhibition, and the Taos Exhibition of American Watercolors. Baldrica’s works have received awards in several of these shows.
Baldrica has earned memberships in a number of watercolor societies—Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Society, Taos Society of Watercolorists, Southwestern Watercolor Society, Catherin Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Montana Watercolor society, Watercolor West, Kansas Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society, Louisiana Watercolor Society, and the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society. Ms. Baldrica was cofounder and past president of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Baldrica’s paintings have been published in the North Light Publisher’s Splash 4, the upcoming Splash 8, Painting Light and Shade by Patricia Seligman, Page One Publisher’s The Artist’s Bible, Rockport Publisher’s People in Watercolor, American Artist’s Watercolor 95 Summer, Watercolor 97 Spring, and Rockport’s Best of Watercolor Painting-Composition. Her works can be seen in her studio in Colorado Springs.
