Artist Statement:
I love simple unpretentious creatures, attitudes, people and ways. I believe in kindness and logic. I'm thankful when I see the beauty of the ocean, mountains and the desert, none of which depend on human touch, but also great architecture, art and music, which take my heart and breath.

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
It's always magical what appears when I finish my work.
It's always a surprise and makes me feel good to be able to create happy, kind paintings, even though I do not consider myself as too optimistic of a person.

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Ukraine, then a republic of the former Soviet Union. I graduated as a builder / engineer from the Kiev Academy of Building with a major in Urban Planning. I moved to the United States in 1992 with my two beautiful daughters - my best friends, mentors and always my inspiration. And now I have a one month old granddaughter who is absolutely amazing to me; like a fountain of unknown.
I teach yoga now and wish for a job in which I can apply my education and skills, even though I'm still hoping to find out what I want to do when I grow up :)
Living in the US, I have learned to greatly appreciate the culture of my motherland. Recently I've discovered the beauty of old Uzbek art, which fascinated me and blew me away. Some of my paintings show this inspiration.
I love simple unpretentious creatures, attitudes, people and ways. I believe in kindness and logic. I'm thankful when I see the beauty of the ocean, mountains and the desert, none of which depend on human touch, but also great architecture, art and music, which take my heart and breath away. |
