Samina paints what she feels, what she thinks and what she dreams. Her work is a reflection of her inner self . Through use of bright colors and symbols she wants the observer to be intrigued and involved with the created imagery. Coming from a mixed cultural background her work has a western influence combined with Asian culture. The movement in the paintings shows the continues changing world around us. Where there is movement there is growth.

| Your Personal Biography |
Samina Islam was born in Karachi, Pakistan in 1966. She went to The Netherlands when she was 4 years old and returned to her father’s birth country Pakistan in 2005. There she studied painting, printmaking and sculpture at Art institute Studio Art in Karachi obtaining her BFA with distinction. She had guidens from the well-known Pakistani artist Nahid Raza.
