| Your Personal Biography |
Octavio Floreal, 1966, Canary islands, Spain. He is graduated in Fine Arts for the La Laguna University, Spain, 1993; selected for Erasmus Proyect by the high Istitut of Visual Art of Antwerp, Belgium (1991-1993); and graduated in graphic Art by the fine Art Academy of Antwerp, 1997. In 1994 took place his first solo exhibition "NW 27º25º-15º13º". Floreal breaks through abstraction to grasp reality, starting from own personal experiences to come to universal thoughts. He creates fragments of meaning which he combines as musical notes or verses of a poem and so he carries-aspects of reality to the aesthetic visual experience. He had been award by the Psicotherapy Center of Molenbeek, Brussels, Belgium (2000). He opens the "Octavio Floreal Space" a vitrin on the strret where he comfronted his new creations direct with the public in Antwerp (2001-2003). Floreal has also devoloped proyects for public spaces like "AMO A MI MAMÁ, MI MAMÁ ME AMA" (2006). In Belgium he has done a good amount of solo and group exhibitions where he lived for along period (1991-2000). By now He lives and works between Spain, Italy. |
