Artist Statement:
Throughout my work I have been
influenced by a variety of
medical and scientific images.
Anatomical photos of gross,
interior anatomy; electron
micrography depicting the
microscopic and heretofore
invisible; and the new method
of specimen preservation known
as Plastination are all strong
influences on/ references for
my work.
Through my explorations of
interior anatomy, and
inherited pre-dispositions of
disease, hypochondria, health
and longevity, I hope to
stimulate thought and
reflection regarding the true
nature of our bodies and
health....
