Artist Statement:
A lifelong passion for
texture, and richness of
surface has led to this new
series of original collage
works. I employ handmade
papers from Japan, China,
Thailand, India, Nepal, and
yes, even some of my own
creation in my studio in
Seattle. I build my own
canvases as a sculptural block
to create a dynamic presense
when hanging. The papers are
collaged on all sides to
create this sculptural
feel.These works stand great
as individuals and can be very
visually rich when several are
hung together.
They are also available in
larger square sizes as well as
in rectangular formats. Check
