Artist Statement:
Art for me is about expressing my creative drive and pushing myself to experiment and work with an exciting yet undiscovered medium. I am a digital artist but also use photography and painting as reference material. I want to create beautiful images and colour is of primary concern but I also like my images to mean something. All my images are personal and depict an aspect of my life. Their symbolism is mysterious and can be interpreted in different ways. They mean different things to different people. I would call my art abstract expressionism with a figurative element....

| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Living in NY in the early eighties and seeing the booming art scene around me was a big inspiration. Later on living in London, England was also a great source of inspiration and where I took on my Art degree. |

| Your Personal Biography |
Osnat has been working as a digital artist and illustrator for many years now since graduating in Art from Sir John Cass School of Art in the East End of London England in 1991 (now part of the London Metropolitan University). Although all her work is done digitally she experiments and pushes the medium as much as possible and makes her imagery not look and feel too computer like. Osnat enjoys working with the medium and pushing the boundaries between traditional and digital. She likes working with interesting surfaces and patterns and has a strong 'bond' with colour and composition. However her images are not just decorative and she tries and either answer to a specific brief or create self promotional projects that have a strong meaning to them.
Her work can be applied to posters, cards, magazine articles, corporate brochures, book jackets , digital media, online,cd covers, music industry and independent projects.
Osnat enjoys the play between word and image and her work has words that are there to convey certain ideas. Osnat takes a lot of photographs and paints and uses this as reference material before she digitally manipulates her images. If one will ask her to describe her work she will have to say that it has a strong sense of color and a layered look that creates a mystery and also resembles a collage composition on paper.Osnat likes taking many different elements, setting and manipulating them against each other until a coherent image comes through. She uses her broad experience of living in in many diffrent places in cities like New York, London and Toronto, to enrich her visual vocabulary and contribute to the source material that constantly supplies her with new ideas. Just recently she has exhibited on the London Underground in King's Cross Station as part of Art on March exhibition which is an Artbelow production |
