| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Both the sculpture and the works “in the round” are obtained through special technics which require a long elaboration time, but in this way they allow the artist to create a really unique piece.
The part below, which gives the form, is built by wooden plugs created one by one and then put together. The structure is covered by lead or copper leaves pressed and welded in the junctions, but they let the most meaningful wooden parts uncovered.
After that the lead parts are corroded by acids creating vibrations of colour, which can go from different tonalities of grey to rusty ones. Greenish colours appear on the copper parts because of the oxidation process enormously advanced in comparison to the natural times.

| Your Personal Biography |
Bruno Coccoli lives and works in Florence. He has been painting and sculpturing since his childhood. In these last years he has been most of all interested in sculpture, even if some experts have spoken about works as a linking ring between the two subjects.
As a matter of fact the result of the building technics are some texture compositions – as the critician P.C. Santini wrote – on one side really homogeneous, strictly projected and coordinated, on the other side refined through the coats of colour.
A nice play of light-dark comes out from an imperceptable lowering and rising of the surface, like the opening movement of a fan refined by coats of varnish obtained through the action of acids on the metals.
Enrico Crispoliti has spoken about resolute, strong and representative structural planning; Ragghianti describes his painture like pure fantasy.
The artist has also faced the figurative theme through natural size sculptures all “in the round”, built by wooden plugs, covered then by metals creating suggestive effects because of the forms and of the variety of natural colours.
Bruno Coccoli has shown his works during his many personal exhibitions in public and private places, among them the Galleria Vismara in Milan and the Strozzina in Florence.
