When not immersed in painting I take out my frustrations on the golf course! Another ultimate and ongoing challenge. |

| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Through a long term friendship with the artist, Grosse, I became interested in painting more in the abstract than in realism. It allows me infinitely more freedom of expression and thinking outside of the box. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
It just seemed a most natural thing to do when I became aware of an inherent ability to draw and paint and people began to respond so positively to my artwork! |

| Your Personal Biography |
A recently 'transplanted' northern Californian, Pam moved to Allen, Texas in April of 2005 after retiring from forty years of flying for United Airlines. She's now able to spend more time pursuing her love for painting which began in the early 1970's. Pam is essentially a self taught painter having studied numerous art instruction publications over the years and experimenting extensively with a wide variety of techniques and mediums as well as attending workshops and seminars.
After painting mostly realistic works for years, she's now exploring and enjoying the freedom of expression to be found in creating more non objective, abstract works considering this genre to be an extension of her growth as an artist. Her desire to pursue abstraction arises from many years of admiration for the paintings of her long time friend and noted abstract expressionist painter, Stanley Grosse. The colorfully provocative and seductive paintings of Persian born artist, Hessam Abrishami have also provided inspiration ever since she first became aware of him and his work. Her plans are to continue working in both realism and abstraction as the 'spirit' moves her, enjoying the pleasure derived from each of these forms of artistic expression.
Pam is very happy to have become affiliated with Absolute Arts and is pleased to have found a home for her artwork on this web site. |
