| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Those paints born from a deep knowledge of the portrayed people: they are all women and dear friends. I made them with the colors that these girls gave to me, and I gave them back with these canvas.
Personally I’m extremely attracted by the female figure, since I was child.
Since I was young, I was charmed by the Leonardo’s figures, then, during the years of artistic studies, this attraction to the painting 'in the feminine' brought me to admire the jobs of Rossetti and the symbolists as Khnopff, Delville, Von Stuck and Klimt, in whom I found a particular type of executive technique and sensuality that I admired for the expressive power.
I also admired and loved Vincent Van Gogh, Piet Mondrian, Franz Mark, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, especially the way they use the color, extoling its expressive power. So these paints born by the union of all these passions, and I use the technique as an expressive mean. In fact, these paints are completely instinctive, even if the color’s geometry could deceive.
