PBS ART COLLECTION
program in the fall of 2005.
Congratulations are due to artist, Pat Walker-Fields, who has been honored by the national professional organization, Oil Painters of America, by being inducted into the society. Acceptance is based upon the excellence of the work of the artist, and membership is determined by committee after review of submitted slides. The society, which is comprised of two thousand members nationwide. was formed to support traditional oil painting masters whose style of painting was no longer favored or fairly considered by art critics, galleries and museums ever seeking new tendencies in art in America.
Pat Walker-Field,honored as one of "Mississippi's Favorite Artist," by the AMA.Pat has received this honor on three separate occasions. The Gala at the Beau Rivage Magnolia Ballroom, in Biloxi,Mississippi recognized exceptional Mississippi artist. The presentation of artwork was outstanding.
