Artist Statement:
Using various fine art painting mediums, I strive to express the essence of humans and nature as I see them. I work both on locations and in the studio using oils and watercolors. My work is influenced by the American Impressionists, the early California Painters and numerous illustrators. The subject matter of my paintings ranges from impressionist landscapes and wildlife, unique stilllifes, and expressive portraits which are painted with a painterly and glazing method reminiscent of the old masters' style. I have exhibited in numerous galleries and art shows. I also teach art classes at various local sites. ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Born in New York and raised in California, Pamela recognized at a very early age her love of drawing and painting portraits of people. Knowing the importance of a good education , she attended Art Center College of Design, California Art Institute and Palomar College, and UCLA Extension, She holds an Associate of Arts Degree, from L. A. Valley College, a Professional Certificate in Digital Publication Design from University of California, San Diego, Extension.
Now she enjoys painting portraits for individuals and corporations painting figures and landscapes. She is very grateful for the inspiration of other painters of the past such as: Andrew Loomis, Adolphe-William Bouguereau, John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, Mary Cassett, and Betsy Smith. She is an instructor through the San Dieguito Adult School in Encinitas, Ca. |
