Artist Statement:
I discovered my love for painting in 1993 as I was transitioning out of a stress filled career and exploring my creative side. As a colorist, I painted lively, vibrant mainstream artwork consisting of landscapes, florals and still-lifes. Through painting I noticed my life was becoming balanced, and filled with harmony instead of stress. Painting allowed me to discover my spiritual nature and peace within and lead me to paint in a stream of consciousness flowing with energy. This flow of consciousness energy is visible in my recent “art with a message” canvas work where you can always find hope, peace and joy in the subject matter and every brush stroke.
Painting is the physical manifestation of my spiritual being. It is the flow of energy through paint onto a two dimensional canvas projecting three dimensional energy. I endeavor to convey a vital energy through sight with color and design. My inspirational and mainstream artwork can be placed in areas of the home and office to create an environment with balance, harmony and a flow of energy which enriches the viewer.
I believe that in our world today with cement cities, sound pollution and isolated environments, it is difficult ...

Biggest Artistic Inspiration
It’s art with a message…a message intended to have a profound effect on our lives. Much of Heydlauff’s work is spiritual and moody and evocative and bright - and it uses these elements to illustrate how the ancient Chinese concept of Feng Shui can help improve our lives today. On the other hand, her more-mainstream artwork is refreshing and colorful, and provides a sense of joy to the viewer.
Her work has a sense of movement to it, drawing the viewer in and providing a visual road map to a life of less clutter, less stress, more productivity, and more harmony. leading him toward a certain destination. Most viewers see something new each time they view her work. And many people have purchased her art for the express purpose of bringing balance and harmony to their homes.
Pat Heydlauff’s art is meant to take the viewer on a visual journey that ends up as a spiritual journey, as well, holding up a world of possibilities that the viewer may have never considered before.

Why Did You Become An Artist
I discovered my love for painting purely by coincidence.
It was in 1993, after I had made a conscious decision to make some changes in my life. I was transitioning out of a stress-filled career that had come to dominate my life. And I was eager to explore the other sides of me…including my creative side.
So I began painting. I soon discovered that I not only liked it, but that I also seemed to have some talent at it. Searching to express my inner self, I painted lively, vibrant landscapes, florals, and still-lifes. And then, a wonderful thing began to happen.
Through painting, I noticed my life was becoming more “balanced,” and that feelings of harmony were gradually taking the place of stress. Painting, I realized, was giving me a very precious gift – the realization that I was very much a spiritual being. And I began to paint, increasingly, in a new “stream of consciousness” that flowed with the positive energy I was now discovering.
This flow of “consciousness-energy” is visible in my recent “Art With a Message” canvases, which I created to evoke a sense of hope, peace and joy in the viewer. As an artist, that, truly, is my goal…and every brush-stroke I take is geared toward it.

Your Personal Biography
Painting is the physical expression of my spiritual being. It is the positive “flow” that starts in my heart and travels to my hands, and continues through paint onto a two-dimensional canvas projecting three- dimensional energy.
I try to convey this energy with color and design, and a natural feeling of harmony. And that’s why both my inspirational and my mainstream artwork can be placed in areas of the home and office to create an environment filled with balance…and a flow of energy that can turn around not only your day, but also your life.
My painting background is the result of spending time with the following:Scottsdale Artist School,
Studied under various members of the California Art Club, Plein Air Artists and Impressionist Sharon Burkett Kaiser, Impressionist Anita Hampton, Impressionist Allayn Stevens, Impressionist Kirk Miller Art Studio, Portraiture and Landscape, artist Kirk Miller andnCannery Paints, Impressionist Marilyn Poliquin
