Artist Statement:
We are constantly involved into the non-ceasing
unpredictable motion of life and carried away by its
energy streams. Artists' work can absorb this energy
from our enthusiasm and concentration in the act of
creation to unfold the diversity of perception of that
one and indivisible life we live.
Having started with color photography in the world of
art imaging, I was inspired by digital technologies
deepening fusion of art and science and began
experimenting with processing some scans of my photos.
That was quite successful and resulted in some group
and solo exhibitions. But I was tempted with making
images from nothing to fully unfold my imagination and
started painting in Adobe Photoshop. Majority of my
work are digitally painted images, some of them
combine painting with photography. Digital processing
to me is a set of tools and techniques that widens the
scope of possibilities of self-expression available to
an artist, dictates the new trends and changes the
idea of harmony.
I like to make something out of nothing. No predefined
order. Lines and shapes both guide and direct me. I
love the way vibrant colors and textures make me feel
as I am working, all the time ...
