"A world of uncertainty"
By regulating the space of the support, by weaving time in the coloured matter, the artist exceeds the discrepancy between the practice of an abstract painting and the design of figurative sketches. Ponce creates a universe of forms, with bright colors, in weightlessness in its format. The artist schematizes the landscapes around wide spreads of air, of sand, of water, with a soberly maintened roughness . Its smooth, clear precise oils seem to penetrate into the mystery that microcosm like the macrocosm contains, that of creation starting from nothingness. Ponce with his control of space, forces forms, interpenetrate into a rhytmic play which one guesses essential. The plunging prospects, are rocked. Everything whirls; balance results from the against-upsetting learnedly adjusted for the plighting of troth of the composition. A world emerges, full of uncertainties, half-eluded figures whose deformations are the consequences of strange metaphors. The artist continues the existential way which is painting, where the pain of research and the happiness of the revelation both alternate. |
