Artist Statement:
“ Landscapes make a wonderful
subject for
an artist, and for me
personally a church or a
balcony or better yet a
“piazza” adds a unique touch
of magic.
When you encounter that level
of natural
freedom and lack of pretension
it can be very
liberating and I find that I
engage with my subject
in a completely different way.
I am generally
rather a stickler for the
somewhat classical attributes
of balanceand technical
accuracy, but with these
paintings the censor in my
head finds it hard to keep
pace with my pencils.
Consequently they are amongst
my most spontaneous and I hope
they communicate some of the
joy I experience when I create
them.”

Biggest Artistic Inspiration In the Creation of Man or Adam, God and man appear almost as equals. Adam lies on raised rocks and, lifting himself up slightly, without any show of effort he stretches out his arm towards God. He arrives floating in space. His powerful cloak flying about Him, accompanied by angels. When His pure, strong gaze meets the man's longing look, the spark of divinity passes from the pointed finger of His right hand to Adam. Michelangelo does not show us this even of man's creation, but the moment in which man receives his soul, the reward for his desire for divinity.

Why Did You Become An Artist I do not know exactly why I became an artist all I know I always had this think inside me.Like some kind of energy ready to explode from the inside to the outside. At first I did not pay any attention and infact I only started in the year 1999. I started as a self thought Artist but than it just grew even more and left to KIEV in Ukraine and studied for 8 months at the National Ukraine Academy of Art & Architecture and than for another 5 months in Italy at the Accademia Europea di Firenze. From than on I just cant stop.

Your Personal Biography My Art is my world and my world is my canvas. In it i seek refuge.

I am 34 years old. I graduated in University of Malta as a teacher and got my Diplomas in Interior Design 2 years after. I work as a Director in a school for foreign students and as Interior Designer. I am a self taught artist. I started painting in 1999 were I exhibited my first exhibition in Gozo Malta.

My recent paintings are a part of a continuing series of painting cycles begun in 1999 exploring diverse aspects of cosmic creation. The deal in part with the evolution of universally significant pectoral systems from elemental, abstract marks and forms.
The connections between basic spatial configurations in nature and art were some of the starting points or my explorations of how the "grammar" of rhythm and energy activates principles of Sacred Geometry to create natural forms.
In considering art as a metaphor to cosmic creation, and of the artist for the Prime Creator, my work is concerned with how things come to be, and with how and what they become.
Art is ability to encompass the fields of physical science, psychology, philosophy, religion and myth enables to weave meaningful images out of the individual strands of knowledge from other, more restrictively focused disciplines. Future works will continue this wide ranging exploration of how meaning emerges in abstract art and in art's potential for providing insight into the nature of life.
I like to make paintings that are alive, that breathe and glow, that are light, enduring; that are nourishing, healing and benign; that are generous, grand and expansive; that reflect the brightest sublime expression of all that is best and highest in us.
