Artist Statement:
"I believe that as part of our journey here, we place objects along our path to help us remember why we are here, what it is we are supposed to do. I think that is what my art is. I am a tool, the images are created through me. These paintings I believe are here for specific people, to inspire and spark memories of who they are, their purpose here... the paintings will find their way to where they are supposed to be."

| Your Personal Biography |
Born August 6, 1963, Preston grew up in several rural Utah towns and spent much of his time on his pony Cricket with his best dog Charley fishing, hunting, skiing and outdoors. As a young adult his family life became turbulent and unpredictable as his parents divorced and addictions came into play. Preston's world was changed forever at the age of 17 with the tragic death of his mother. At this point, Preston's life became very unfocused and erratic. He spent his early 20's writing music and lyrics for rock and roll bands and working various construction jobs. The experiences of his early life have affected the emotions and themes that are expressed in many of his paintings.
A self taught artist, Preston has always been involved in the creative process in many ways, as a lyricist, as a writer, through photography, and random painting.
At the age of 44 Preston began painting in earnest and expressing the energy, emotions and insights he was experiencing as part of a self motivated spiritual awakening. For a time Preston struggled with thinking of himself as an artist but has come to believe that what he creates is unique, inspired and of a significant spiritual nature.
Preston is currently living and working in Woodland, Utah with his love Jackie and their children.
