| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
It is hard to pick out names, there are some like Bearden. I have many different influences and inspiration. I look around for images (people) more than looking to be inspires by other artist. I try to find people that inspire me at the moment. I try to paint openly and be receptive to anything outside or life in general. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I always had a love for art as early as I can remember picking up a crayon. As a child, I never really knew art as something that just hung on walls. Where I grew up, in a humble home in a urban area of Saint Louis Missouri; there were no galleries and little mention of art in schools. Art, the way I discovered it, existed in the seeds that were planted early and nurtured by my parents and a richly diverse family, who gave me the encouragement to follow my dreams. The passion behind the music of jazz, blues and gospel, Romare Bearden, the Civil Rights movement to name a few who greatly influenced my upbringing; and the spiritual bonding I witnessed of my family. The beauty of these things touched me deeply, and I started to record them in the drawings of my childhood and later in the painting as a adult.Today my paintings depict real-life situations or feeling that have a profound importance to me.I love people, I love life; my current work, exploring my passion of people has become my signature style in mixed media. Combing traditional techniques of painting with acrylics and paper. The use of papers are not used as a collage but are part of my palette just like paint. An illustrator by profession,I am a graduate from Saint Louis University with a bachelor's degree in studio art media design. Now residing in Missouri, I have spent the past years freelancing as a book illustrator and showing in gallery events and being ready for opportunity when it presents itself.
