Artist Statement:
“...Are balanced compositions, of a great plastic harmony where the colors play an outstanding role. In their works, the characters with hats normally of a white tone are already characteristic. They absorb the light and become point of attention of the spectator.
Always perfectly combined with the other colors; each tone has its own autonomy, do not compete among them, but they are complemented and give a greater force to the composition.
They are not strong or violent, on the contrary they are different shade of green, ocher, blue, among others... those produce a visual relaxation and animate to the contemplation and fantasy.. “

Quispejo was born in Ancash, Peru.
He developed his studies in Lima in the national School of
Fine Arts, graduated in 1973 with the Gold medal, and received the Enrique Camino Brent prize in painting. Founder member of the Puka Punku group. He has participated in diverse exhibitions individual as collective, national and as much international.
