Artist Statement:
The meaningfulness of an artists work is of extreme importance to the artists and the viewer.
The things that inspire me the most to paint are historical significance, personal experience, spiritual experience and artistic challenge. Most of the time these areas are interrelated.
As time passes, the evolution of my work changes technically and in artistic understanding. My Emotions are evoked as each painting is conceived and done. In Roses in Peach, I could see my grandmothers roses basking in the warm Arkansas sun. I could feel the humid, warm air surround me and the roses, much the same as God does with the of his love.
For me the creating of art is the extension of athletic and intellectual competition. Many times I awake in the middle of the night, to view a painting in progress. Some times a great idea comes to me at these times.

| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
Inspiration comes from the many things that have touched my life from family to school. I paint the places that provided the place for the moment to take place and put the people in the painting |
