| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
I take inspiration mainly from nature like botanical shapes.
I try to make all of my scupltures from at least 75% post consumer waste, such as cans, bottles, and of course paper.
I have always been artistic but only had my Muse reawakened this year when I discovered papier mache. I also paint in non-toxic acrylics on stones, wood, clothing and canvas. I prefer creating a three dimensional object that may be explored with the hands as well as the eyes.

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I was born an artist. I inherited the talent from my mother and never really had to work at it. I had a rough childhood and used my art as therapy. As my children were growing, I used it as a means to entertain or adorn them.
Now I use it to beautify my life and share my joy with others. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Monticello, NY in Sullivan County, 3 months before the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969 in Bethel, in a town 5 minutes away. Dad went but mom stayed home with me. To this day, I resent him for this ;)
I sell most of my creations on Etsy at www.ravenarelics.com.
I was raised devoutly on a farm as the oldest sister of 5 children. I would escape the crowded house and all the chores by playing in the barn or the woods and hiding up high in the apple trees in the orchard. I am perpetually inspired by nature and it's resilience and changes, yet dismayed at the environmental changes that I have witnessed even in my lifetime alone.
I try to use at least 75% post consumer waste or more in my creations and as many non-toxic substances as I can.
I hope you enjoy my work and know that no newspaper, can, box, or bottle should ever end up in a landfill :).
