Artist Statement:
I am a novice artist ,I
started painting in January of
1999 and my works so far have
been to learn and find my own
style.The first year and a
half I did graphite and color
pencil work.
I had started oil painting
,as of September 2000 and find
it awesome,I love the vibrant
colors.Have tried so far
learning from art books and
have fell in love with Bob
Ross' sytle paintings and
really like the atmosphere
that his work creates.
2004 I am starting to
paint oil paintings from
photos,and my first one is
"Gourds" .I try very hard to
get the 3D look in all my
paintings,some people have
said that they feel they could
walk right into some of
them,so I was very pleased by
that observation, that means
my goal is working.
2005 I have been painting
a series of coastal scenes and
am teaching myself to
watercolor paint, I wanted to
try a new medium but I love
oils.

Welcome to Judy Josey's Portfolio.
