Artist Statement:
This is the Portfolio of Feodor Rimsky, (1898-1976) created by his son Dimitri Rimsky (1947-currently living). The portfolio contains the long unseen work of this talented, and multi-faceted artist. Although he lived and died in the U.S. his early work was done in the 20s' and 30s' in Germany and in Paris in the later 30s' till the outbreak of WWII. As both an Illustrator and fine artist, his art ranges from fashion and advertising work to bookcovers such as the "Greatest Story Ever Written" by Fulton Oursler; as well as sweeping allagorical and religious subjects.
