Artist Statement:
I like to make drawings and paintings of people that are flawed and funny and reveal personalities that are a little bit complicated. I trust my instincts. I prefer fauvism and expressionism, and even abstraction, over photo-realism. I want to see something I haven't seen before when I look at art. When I draw and paint my goal is to draw or paint something new every time. Something that has never existed before. Something that only exists once....

Rina then moved to Boston, MA to study at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, fell in love with Boston, and subsequently refuses to budge.
