| Your Personal Biography |
At age 7 years I knew I would be an artist. Born into an artistically gifted family, I naturally followed the path of my father, a self-taught custom furniture finisher. I was privileged to grow up watching him create interior works for legendary celebrities such as Fred Astair, Rod Stewart, Lucille Ball and Sunny & Cher. At the age of 12 I discovered fashion design and added that to my list of talents. I attended The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles while working as an apprentice under my father. In addition to honing my craft working in the family business, I spent the majority of my young adult years pursuing various forms of art with passion and ingenuity. Today I specialize in fine art, faux finishes, custom furniture finishes, couture fashion design, hand-painted murals, and antique reproduction(17th Century), wearable art and free-form knits. I consider the work of my hands a gift from God and gather influences from cultures all over the world. I enjoy sharing the blessings of my artwork with others others and being Mom to Chavalier(22) and Hemmingway (7). |
