Artist Statement:
My current work concentrates
on the movement, posture and
stretch of the human figure
(usually female). I work by
abstracting the body down into
simple shapes and forms which
are constructed in the way
that a puppet might be put
together; placing emphasis on
the shape and process of the
making. I create simplified
expressions of the moving
figure, often expressed
through a sequence of
movement. My colourful
decoration draws the eye
through the form and gives
emphasis to the character and
overall posture....
