| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
I am inspired by all sorts of artwork, but anything abstract and or mathematical or scientific really intrigues me. I love lots of painting, cinema and installationwork, as well as art from other cultures. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
It a compulsion, I have spent many years playing around with painting, drawing and printmaking, and more recently digital work and installation. i have always had good support from family and friends, and the encouragement to make a go of things professionally. I do other bits and bobs as well, but art is where it is at for me, it always will be. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I have always been fascinated by light. I'm sure this is what attracted me to painting, as I used to always get told off for messing up my father's new paint job by touching it. Many experiences I have had have led me to become very interested in the way light illuminates and deforms structure, and the way in which structures are formed through forces, be they natural, mathematical or whatever. Nature is my main fascination and how it may be evoked and analysed through many natural and scientific processes. Coupled with my interest in calligraphic and decorative forms I am deeply interested in the forms of nature, the body and the universe, and in cultures that have examined them.
I am very interested in new ways that digital media can structure form. This is new to me and i see much future learning to be done in this field. I seek to create work that questions the perception of the viewer. I want my work to be beautiful and echo the geometry from within as well as inviting cultural and artistic resonances that are ingrained in our culture. |
