Born in 1965 in St. Gallen (Switzerland). M.A.degree from the University of Zurich in Japanese studies, ethnology and sociology. Studied film with the directors H.U. Schlumpf (Zurich) and Kanai Katsu (Image Forum Institute, Tokyo). From 1994 to 1996 director of the St. Gallen repertory cinema Kinok, then editor-in-chief of the Swiss literary magazine Saiten. Publications in various magazines and for Fink Edition's art series. Relocated to Kyoto in 1998. Lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts and active as an artist and filmmaker. Participation in various film festivals and photo exhibitions in Europe and Japan. Homepage: www.rowmuse.com
