Artist Statement:
In the beginning, there's the
white surface with lots of
question marks.
Then, slowly, according to the
moment's mood and out of
million images and volatile
feelings, the subject to paint
surfaces.
Through my paintings I try to
transmit a mood, an esthetic
representation of subjects.
Voluntarily I omit fine
details in my paintings in
order to leave the spectator's
imagination wander.
I like to paint non-erotic
nudes just for the beauty of
the human form.
Cats have a peculiar
character: this is why I like
to paint them and fix a
particular attitude on the
canvas.
I mainly use oil and paint
either on canvas or plywood.
By the way, I am a self-taught
painter, I have been painting
since the age of fourteen,
participating in various
exhibitions and continue to
perfect a gift I discovered
very early in life....

Welcome to Georges Demerjian's Portfolio.
In the beginning, there's the white surface with lots of question marks.
