| Your Personal Biography |
Sabrina fell in love with art, nature, and creativity at an early age. Growing up in Sacramento, California, she spent many days enjoying the scenery and wildlife of the American River delta. Frequent camping trips to the Sierras, coastal redwoods and breathtaking Northern California coast helped to inspire her work.
After exploring many different outlets for her creativity, she has emerged with oil painting as her medium of choice. She frequently paints from her own wildlife photographs, but also paints from life and imagination. Although her work is most commonly nature themed, it is sometimes inspired by mythology, fantasy, science fiction, music, politics, spirituality and love. She is fascinated with the art of ancient civilizations and the great masters, but is most heavily influenced by surreal, fantasy and art nouveau styles.
After spending several years showing and selling her paintings in Sacramento area art galleries, Sabrina has moved closer to the scenery that inspires her most. She now divides her living and working time between Sonoma and Marin counties. |
