| Your Personal Biography |
God gave me a heart for teaching His word and a creative spirit; who knew He planned to use the two together!'
Born in 1954 and brought up in South Florida; Sandra always had a creative mind able to visualize design concepts. She studied both interior design and fashion design and created clothing and handbags for boutiques including her's under the label Just One You (JOY).
'I always wanted to honor God with the talent He gave me.'
Sandra had always made artistic gifts for family and friends; usually they were painted, relief sculptures. She took her first oil painting lessons in 2006 while living in Stuart, Florida. She is now part of the artists community of Charleston, South Carolina where she lives with Monte, her soulmate of 30 years and their cat Taz.
From the start painting and sculpting people was the most challenging and inspiring. Her first portraits were of her beloved Jalynne, daughter of her only son Jason. Figurative art continues to be her favorite.
Now Sandra is devoting her time to creating contemporary Christian artworks inspired by God's Word. She believes that art used for ministry should clearly present a truth from the Word of God. Monte is working with her to promote Amariah Art. They are both very thankful that for the first time they are working together and especially so because as they say 'Nothing else is as rewarding as work that honors God.'
