Artist Statement:
My paintings reflect my view of the world. I create form through color and shape, mixing edges to blend into the next shape. There are surprises with what happens in creating art. Something unexpected will happen and my painting will take on a new direction. I like big shapes, contrast. Earth and Sky meeting.. Instantaneous artistic expression is what I'm going for. Though I love many different styles, my style is definitely about the emotional connection I'm feeling when I'm painting.
There are many ways to tell a story, my painting story begins with simple shapes and lines, color to create contrast, the story of beauty in simplicity. Nature is vast and spontaneous, I feel art creation can have the same energy, following an inspired idea, conveying emotion through color and contrast, ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Sandra's work has been exhibited internationally in major galleries. In June, The Selby Fleetwood Gallery presented a one-woman show, she was profiled in Southwest Art Magazines Collectors Issue as an artist to collect. Although her formal education was not in painting, (one semester at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago) she has dedicated the past 10 years to perfecting her palette knife work. Integrating her love of painting with practicing Yoga (Certified Bikram Yoga Teacher) she uses the techniques of meditation and awareness to access the spiritual dimension to allow the paintings to come through in a natural, spontaneous way. Her unique style of painting has won several national awards. This recently made series of works Paintings ofLithuania displays vibrant oil color on linen panels, inspired during a visit to Lithuania.
