| Your Personal Biography |
SARA MINCK was the child who was given finger paints and crayons rather than Barbie dolls and stuffed animals. The arts have always played a major role in her life since a very young age. Her father, a poet, encouraged her to express herself by any possible means and her mother -working in fine art reproductions - exposed her to an avenue through which to channel that expression. By the age of eighteen Sara had been recognized as one of Connecticut’s up and coming portrait artists and received numerous awards as a result of her talent.
Sara continued her exploration of the art world in college; she attended the University of Connecticut for two years focusing primarily on printmaking and figurative drawings. She now resides in Southbury, Connecticut and is a fulltime mother to her son, Troy. She attends courses at the local community college in pursuit of a degree in medical imaging.
Although the focus of her studies have changed from that of purely visual to medical imagery she is still working in the art world. Sara is the main artist for a small Christian publishing company, Trinity Teachers, located in Gloversville, NY and she remains a commissioned portrait artist.
